Everybody who is blogging is looking for ways to increase blog traffic as that is the whole purpose of blogging. Without an audience it becomes the worlds best kept secret. Who on earth wants to keep their blog a secret? Certainly not me it’s not a diary it’s a blog after all.
Ways to increase blog traffic
There are a number of ways on can increase blog traffic but the most obvious method is to have good content or at the very least interesting content. I am not the worlds best blogger that is for sure but I do enjoy blogging and I have a few blogs out there as I enjoy what I do. If you don’t enjoy what you are doing rather stay away from it as you will not do it well. While I enjoy blogging I have never been able to get my head around SEO or ranking blogs on google. While they say just create good regular content, I find sometimes this is just not enough. It seems Search engine optimization is important as if your blog is a mish mash of content Google simply won’t find it. Google and many other search engines are annoying with their idea of how any site should rank so sometimes it is best just to get a little help in these areas. The big question is do you pay huge sums of money to outsource to an expert or do you figure it out yourself. If you are planning to try and sort it out yourself I found an interesting product that I have been using for a short while now called Squirrly seo.

Squirrly is a WordPress plugin that attends to all your seo needs as you are creating your blog. If you are looking to increase blog traffic then this is clearly the plugin to look at. It keeps your keywords, titles and content in check for you while providing content such as pictures, twitter feeds or news while you are working on your post. This takes one of the most difficult tasks out of your posting. The plugin will also evaluate what is needed on your blog such as traffic and how to get more, or content etc. A weekly report is sent to give you all the in and outs of your blog, what you need to do and were to get it. They offer a free version and a pro version, you can try the pro version out on trial and either remain with the free version when the trial is over or start to pay for a pro version. Believe me once you have tried the pro version you won’t want to use the free version as the pro version is well worth the money. If you are an SEO guru and you know your way around the search engines then you won’t need this but if you are anything like me, simply confused then this is the plugin for you. I have had a couple of blogs and websites rank on the 1st page before and I did not even understand why. Search engines keep changing the way they search sites so it is a good idea to have some kind of expert on your side and especially a white hat expert as black hat methods just don’t work in the long run. I am still a firm believer in content and I am really not that interested in back links, SEO and creating traffic etc as I believe traffic should come on it’s own. trouble is traffic does not come on it’s own if it cant find you anywhere. Although I have only reviewed this product for a couple of weeks I am very happy with what it seems to be able to do and achieve and I would recommend this product.
There are of course other plugins available, popular plugins but none of them have ever really helped me and Squirrly just kicks their ass as it works with the click of a button. Most other SEO plugins expect you to have a degree in Search engine optimization for some odd reason. Were must I find the time for this crap, I enjoy writing blogs but I hate optimizing. I am sure many other bloggers out there feel the same way.
